Whatever doesn’t kill you (or give you an enteric pathogen) will only make you stronger. It must have just been that the recipe which the cannery uses was deviated from or something. I still claim them to be the worst tasting smoked oysters I have ever scoffed the lot of. And I didn’t even get the chance to use more wine as an emergency antimicrobial since my late evening plans fell through.
